Cooperation between MMM and BHT
Germany's leading customer service organisation in sterile processing

Planegg/Gersthofen, 16. January 2006. MMM Group (MMM) and BHT Hygienetechnik (BHT) have agreed on a far-reaching cooperation in global sales and German customer service. The objective of this cooperation is the extension and intensification of national and international activities, mainly in central sterilization supply and laboratories.

The joint customer service organisation in Germany resulting from this cooperation will be the largest in Germany in the field of sterile supply and corresponds to the highest demands in terms of quality, availability and costs. The common organisation under the leadership of MMM offers a comprehensive range of services, including validation of every step involved in sterile processing. The joint organisation will take up its tasks as from 1. February 2006. In addition, BHT will continue to offer their customer service for endoscope washer-disinfectors (AER).

This cooperation will accelerate the growth of the experts in sterilization (MMM) and washing and disinfecting (BHT) in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The joint presence and operation in key markets will sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of both companies in the field of infection control and promote their leading position in Europe.

With this cooperation, MMM will preferably and partly exclusively distribute innovative washer-disinfectors made by BHT. This will be done in close coordination of both partners, from planning up to the putting into service and customer service.

To intensify the cooperation in this way is the logical continuation of the longstanding experience of both companies gained through major projects commonly realized in Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Poland or Asia.

"This cooperation allows us to concentrate on our core business which is the development and manufacturing of washer-disinfectors for medical, dental, laboratory and pharmaceutical applications. Apart from that we can push our innovative lead in specialised applications such as reprocessing of endoscopes",

says Dr. Annecke, managing director of BHT.

"The joint opening up of the international business backed by our longstanding experience as full system supplier in the field of sterile processing in Germany and Central Europe offers an enormous growth potential for both partners in the future"

adds A. Raab, managing director of MMM.

BHT has been one of the acknowledged market leaders in the development and manufacturing of innovative washer-disinfectors designed for hospitals, laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry for the last 25 years. Active on the international scene, BHT is a medium-size company with two production sites in the heart of Bavaria, Germany. In 2005, BHT was awarded with the Product Innovation Award by Frost&Sullivan, category healthcare, for its INNOVA CC system for single channel testing of flexible endoscopes . Various patents and trademarks demonstrate the achievement potential of BHT. The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN 13485.

Since the company's foundation in 1954 as a small regionally oriented company, MMM have continually evolved into a European group and one of the leading system providers for the benefit of health. Today, MMM offer their customers throughout the world a complete range of products and services with sterilization and disinfection being the core business. As partner to their customers, MMM is well known to realize the best technical and economic solution for each and every situation offering more than 50 years of experience gained through worldwide activities and the competence and quality of a modern organisation.
