Quality management

Since 1954, MMM has operated worldwide as one of the leading system suppliers in the health care sector. With a complete range of products and services relating to sterilization and disinfection plants for hospitals, clinics, scientific institutions, laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry. This is hygiene technology and as such it has to meet the highest possible demands every day - safeguarding life.

So for us, quality management at all corporate levels is more than just a useful business tool. For us, quality is synonymous with responsibility. Our well-developed and continually improving quality management system (QMS) incorporates all aspects of our business. It respects customer requirements, safety and ergonomic factors as well as the environment with ecologically meaningful product development. It also respects people, both as staff and as partners to our customers.

So, in all their elements, MMM products meet the hightest possible quality requirements in production and daily use. These are defined, specified and recalled daily by every single employee.

Customer satisfaction is our yardstick and our target.

The customer is our major partner. Using customer suggestions and in cooperation with our contacts, we continually seek the practical application of new requirements. We intensively promote the development of improvements and new solutions in adherence with our renowned quality standard. Special requirements are processed in line with customer specifications and produced for delivery on-time. Standards are set by our customers. To achieve them and at the same time meet our own quality requirements is our primary corporate target.

Our quality system is built on sound foundations.

It has always been our aim to orient all our products and services towards the traditionally high MMM quality level. The comprehensive QMS described in this manual represents a continuation of this tradition. In 21 chapters, processes are described in 60 quality procedural instructions (QPI) and 100 quality work instructions (QWI). Processes and descriptions are continually compared and updated.

This is, we believe, the foundation for successful certification - based on the most comprehensive demonstration of DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN 46001 involvement. Our unchanging product quality is supported by sound work quality. We plan the quality of our performance - from the first day of development through to the time of installation and commissioning. One target of our QMS is to avoid mistakes. Quality is achieved through preventive measures to control all the necessary processes within the company.

If - despite our zero-mistakes strategy - we do make a mistake at some time, our comprehensive quality tests help us to find and remedy it - one more persuasive argument illustrating the daily operational safety of MMM systems.

People safeguard quality - we safeguard people.

Each and every member of our staff is aware of their responsibility. At their workplaces within the group, they contribute to the quality of MMM products and services and thus to MMM success. This employee awareness is promoted daily and supported with extensive instruction and further-training courses. We constantly maintain the interest of our staff in the quality concept and motivate them in this regard. This is a measure reflected in the continuity of the quality of our products. Quality which is demonstrable and fully documented.

Our understanding of quality is updated every day. The principles and the functions of our QMS are provided in this manual. It is essential for our customers to be able to rely one hundred per cent on MMM products and services. This quality management manual describes what we do to achieve this.

This starts as early as the design phase of new products, continues through the whole of the development and production process and extends beyond after-sales service and servicing through to after-market observation. Just as customer requirements are incorporated into the MMM QMS, so we also include suggestions made by our service teams.

With our comprehensive QMS, we set standards for joint success. The present quality management manual is binding on all MMM employees without limitations. Implementation of the MMM philosophy on quality, together with the annually revised quality management targets, in association with the corporate philosophy, are all the vital basis for the work of all our staff for the benefit of our customers.

Our staff all have instructions to strive to achieve these targets and to implement them in their everyday work. In doing so, they must not fail to comply with laws, standards and rulings on safety and health, on protection of the environment and on the handling of information. Every member of staff is dedicated to customer care in thought and action and to the further developemnt of our QMS.
