February 17, 2018 - Under the direction of Susanne Dibbern, the MMM Academy North welcomed 240 participants and quite a few exhibitors at the CSSD forum in Hamburg Emporio Tower. The event was once again a big success.
Due to the increased number of participants and exhibitors, a new venue was required for this event. Hamburg's Emporio Tower provided the ideal conditions for the conference full of interesting presentations and numerous hands-on workshops.
One aspect of this year's CSSD Forum was the presentation of current standards and the revised common guidelines of the DGKH, DGSV and AKI for the validation and routine monitoring of mechanical cleaning and thermal disinfection processes for medical devices by Robert Eibl, Managing Director MMM.
The event covered also following topics:
• human resources management in the CSSD
• preparation of a risk analysis for the reprocessing of medical devices according to the new guideline VDI 5700
• preparation of explants
• current requirements for reprocessing flexible endoscopes
In particular, the workshops offered in parallel to the daily program met a big response from the participants. Topics such as "Correct reading of validation reports what operators must consider when validating" or " Practical implementation of the guideline regarding manual packaging processes" and "Leadership - what makes you a leader?" had to be provided twice to meet the big demand.
In addition to the specialist lectures and workshops, there was ample opportunity for discussions and an exchange of information with the speakers, industry exhibitors and colleagues. A highlight of the general program was the offer to strengthen the team spirit in a Live-Escape game. Both course participants and lecturers have enthusiastically demonstrated their team spirit.
