In early July, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for two GMP steam sterilizers of the Sterivap HL type took place at the BMT plant. The client is the pharmaceutical company PJSC SIC “Borshchahivskiy CPP,” based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The two new units expand the customer’s existing equipment fleet, which will now include a total of six steam sterilizers manufactured by us.

The first unit is intended for the sterilization of ampoules – including vacuum crash testing and ampoule rinsing. The second sterilizer will be used for the preparation of textiles for use in cleanroom environments. Both devices were manufactured in a customer-specific and GMP-compliant design. They replace older Getinge units and symbolically mark a significant milestone in our company’s history in the Ukrainian market.
This is the 500th unit – and it is going to a customer who has accompanied us for decades. Already in 1999, this very customer ordered the first large-scale sterilizer from us for the Ukrainian market. The fact that now, more than two decades later, the same partnership can be celebrated with the 500th machine is an extraordinary coincidence – and an impressive sign of trust and continuity.

Our success in Ukraine is the result of many years of continuous work. What began in 1998 with a single employee – Gennadiy Sergeyev – has grown into an 18-member team. Since then, a total of 504 MMM and BMT units have been sold to the Ukrainian market. This market success is far from guaranteed. It is the result of professionalism, flexibility, and exceptional commitment – under the most challenging conditions since the outbreak of the war. Despite enormous challenges, including deployments in regions facing acute dangers near the frontline, our sales and service teams deliver outstanding performance to ensure reliable operation for our customers.
Given the many unpredictable risks, this success is all the more remarkable. Our shared goal remains to strengthen the healthcare system in Ukraine and to support our customers in the best possible way – today, tomorrow, and in the future.
